Cooperative Learning
In physical education, cooperative learning can be known as an active learning activity among children in groups or in pairs. The children work together as a team to accomplish a set of goals while cooperating and supporting one another through any obstacle.
Example in the Classroom
Give the children a variety of stations to participate in and observe how they as a team support and listen to each other to accomplish the activity.

Homework and Practice

Homework and Practice
During a child's time in physical education, it can be both helpful and beneficial for the child to reflect and apply what they have been taught. This will promote further understanding and activation of the brain during their physical tasks.
Example in the Classroom
Once the activity time has concluded, ask the children to apply what they have learned to their home life. Allow them to reflect and think about how they can be active in their home life/daily living.

Strategy Number 3
Learning Centers






Learning Centers
In physical education, learning centers or "stations"; can be a great way for a child to alternate between what they are comfortable with. This can be with their peers as they too can help each other navigate their ways around the gym's stations in a selected amount of time.
Example in the Classroom
Groups of children are placed throughout the gym as they work together to complete a series of physical activities for fun and motivation.

Strategy Number 4
Modeling



Modeling
During a child's time in physical education, having someone to look up to is always very important. Role modeling is an essential and crucial part to any and all teaching.
Example in the Classroom
A coach can offer advice or even comfort for a child who might be struggling or are in need of support. A coach can also be someone to offer wisdom on certain techniques or skills during class time.
