To Everyone in
You may never know how much you helped me, but do know that Keith Grant is more than appreciative.
To the professors of this class thanks so much for your patience. I learned more than just how to write a great lesson plan.

I USE TO THINK that a lesson plan was just something the principal and facilitators needed to see to know what was supposed to be going on in the classroom. In the past, I have looked at the curriculum and the standard/s for the weekly lesson and used the objectives, and taught the class. There was never a need to determine what I would do for the students with the objective to reach a certain percentage. BUT NOW I THINK a lot goes into planning for effective teaching and learning.

I USE TO THINK that the web was used as a means to help students tie in their thoughts. BUT NOW I THINK webbing is an effective tool for helping the teacher better plan to the standards, assess the objectives, and know which procedures need to take place. I also THINK that the preparation of a web is a great road map that can change but builds a great foundation.

I USE TO THINK that the Physical Education teacher was there to keep the students active with the assigned lesson and evaluate them through observation. BUT NOW I know I can help with other subject areas and teach students to use Google Docs and Flip Grid while we learn. Additionally, I know the teacher and students can learn a lot together. I was so amazed at my learning, I spent a great deal of my time informing my peers and demonstrating to my students.

I USE TO THINK
I USE TO THINK when virtual teaching took place, the Physical Education teacher helped out the other subject areas. BUT NOW I THINK Story Jumper, Google Docs, and Flip Grid can be used to deliver instructions to students although we may be in different settings. The use of technology caused a Think Pair Share with Assistive Technology in my class that I will never forget.
BUT NOW I THINK students can show me more on a cellphone than I had ever thought to use. I THINK Think Pair Share and using technology are teachable moments that goes both ways. I USE TO THINK, BUT NOW I THINK to never underestimate the learner and the teacher needs to use thinking, pairing, and sharing to learn a thing or two about teaching and learning.
