I was in my second year of high school in 2020 when the lockdown was abruptly declared because of COVID-19. It is well known that this is one of the most important years in a student's life because college admission depends on it. So, as months went by with no resolution, I recall feeling anxious about whether I would be able to finish my studies or be able to graduate in the same year. Then the revolutionary zoom app appeared as a fresh approach to teaching. I started taking classes online, and let me tell you, it was extremely challenging at first before I eventually got used to online learning. I was successful in obtaining the education I needed to pass my courses with a high grade. I appreciate the technological tool that allowed me to continue my education. Even though it took longer than expected, I still finished my crucial year with the necessary skills and in the top tier.

Impact on the education system before and after coming of the use of zoom.

In the article, Transitioning from Face-to-Face to Remote Learning: Students’ Attitudes and Perceptions of using Zoom during COVID-19 Pandemic, FTF classes were replaced with 40-minute Zoom lectures. Seventy-seven students recorded their perceptions at the end of the lecture series. The majority of the students (97%) indicated that the sessions were relevant to their learning needs and clinical practice and 99% found that the sessions were adequate to their level of learning. All the participants suggested that Zoom lectures should be made part of the medical curriculum. Based on these results, the researchers concluded that online teaching should be part of the postgraduate training in future classes (Agarwal and Kaushik, 2020). A lot of students were able to continue their education just like me.

On the same token, once COVID was declared a global pandemic, we all relied entirely on technology to save us. Technologies like Zoom, Facetime, Skype, Microsoft Teams and others skyrocketed- work, family celebrations, family tragedies, dinner parties, holidays, all took place on these video conferencing tools. Where would we be without them (Popper, N,2020).

Moreover, there were numerous advancements since then. More online platforms were developed to help students around the world.
