Geography
The very first thing we learned about this year was geography. We learned about each of the 7 continents North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and Antarctica. We learned about their physical features also! Latitude and longitude also are a part of geography. Latitude lines go side ways while longitude lines go up and down.

I'm on top of this world!

Economics
Economy is basically another word for money, but there are very different kinds of money systems called command, traditional, market, and mixed economies. Each country have their own system and trading route where they trade each other for items that they don't have but need. We also learned GDP and banking when we went to JA (Junior Achievement) for a field trip.

I'll give you my lollipop and sucker for your ice cream.
Government
Next is government. There are many different kinds of government so I'll tell you the different types. A monarchy is a king or queen. A democracy is when the people decide for their country. A Command is when the government controls mostly everything. A oligarchy is controlled by a small group of people.

Culture
Culture is how people live and what they believe in. Things that make up culture are clothing, religion, food, and interests. When we learned about culture in Mr. Vaught's class, we got to make different things from each culture. For example; breads, sandwiches, cakes, and many more.

Religion
Religion is what you believe in and who you believe in. There so many different types of religion. There is Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism and many more. Christians believe in God, read the Bible, and go to church every Sunday. Buddhists don't believe in a God.

Egypt
Egypt is located in Africa. Egypt is the desert with all the pyramids and they represent their Gods. For example: the sun (Ra) and a crocodile (Sobek). They treat almost everything like a God in their country.
