HOPSCOTCH TOURNAMENT

It was Ece's first day at her new school. It was exciting. A poster was hung on the school gate. He came closer and read it. It was the poster of the hopscotch tournament held at school. She got suprised. Because it was Ece's favorite game. She entered her new class. He met her teacher and friends. He loved everyone very much. She told her teacher that he wanted to participate in the tournament. Her teacher happily accepted.

Ece:

-My friends, we can play the hopscotch game individually or in groups. "We determine the person who will start the game by tossing a coin," she said.

Bilge:

-From the starting line, we throw stones into the numbered boxes in order. We step on single boxes with one foot, and on adjacent boxes with both feet, she said.

Mehmet:

-Friends, it is very important to play without stepping on the line. "If the stone comes to the line or we step on the line, it's the opponent's turn to play," he saids

Ece and her friends had learned the rules thoroughly. First they won the school tournament. Then they came with their 1st cup from the tournament held in their province. They were very happy...

It's Friday and the last bell is ringing at school! The children  arrange their usual date in the village square to play their favorite games! 

This year their class participates in a program where they learn to play traditional games from different countries. Today they learned to play "hopscotch"!The rules were posted to the website of the programme by the students of another country.

While they were playing hopscotch, a heavy rain suddenly broke out. They all quickly ran to Spyros' house, which was closer, to protect themselves.

Dimitris:

-What a pity! The rain ruined our afterrnoon... What will we play now?

So, they started thinking about what they can play in a small, confined space

 Spyros:

-I think, that I have found what we could play…

Spyros ran to his room and came back holding a box of small colorful glass marbles.

Spyros:

-My grandfather gave them to me as a present! He had told me that when he was young , they used to play a game called "svoloi"... But unfortunately, I don't remember the rules...

Marios:

-Don’t worry, guys!I know how to play this game...My dad has explained it to me... He used to play it when he was young! Listen to me carefully!

STOP GAME/ İSTOP OYUNU/ öZLEM YAMAN

Teacher Özlem and her little stars class started the week cheerfully.

They were working on tables and graphs in math class. Together they created a chart about our children's favorite games. Children talking one by one

They attended the lesson. Istop game is the most popular children's game.

It was the game that received the most votes. Ozlem teacher:

-According to the table, the children's favorite game was Istop. OK guys.

Do you know the rules of the stop game? asked.

Zeynep:

- Teacher, we can play with or without color.

"First of all, we are counting for midwife selection," he said.

Omer:

-Sir, we are forming a circle. The midwife says someone's name while throwing the ball into the air. If the person whose name he mentioned catches the ball before it drops, he too

He says the name of another friend of ours. "The person who drops the ball is the midwife," he said.

Angel:

- When the ball falls to the ground, everyone starts running except the midwife. When the midwife says "istop", everyone stops where they are. 

The midwife tells a color. My teacher said, "The one who finds the color before being shot will be saved. The one who is shot before finding the color will become the new midwife."

Ozlem teacher:

- You guys are great. You know the rules well. "Then let's play istop in the garden in our next lesson," he said.

The children were very happy. When the recess bell rang, they ran and hugged teacher Özlem.
