Hello, I'm officer Genesis Carrera, and I work for the Los Angeles Police Department.
I am a great, adventurous and a loyal officer that serves and protects the community everyday.
Every morning when my parents get up, they pray over me to God so he stays with me and keeps me in his protection.

First thing in the morning, I get ready and get dressed to go to the gym.
I visit the gym every day because it makes me feel at ease when I'm out on the field working.
I dedicate thirty minutes to cardio and spend the remaining time working on upper body exercises like weightlifting.

As soon as I get home, I start preparing my lunch, getting snacks, and refilling my favorite pink Stanley cup with water.

.
Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake
I shake it off, I shake it off (hoo-hoo-hoo).
At precisely five o'clock in the evening, I leave the house and make my way to the Olympic Division police station in Los Angeles.
Playing music by my all-time favorite artist helps my drives pass quickly.
Can you guess who it is?
TAYLOR SWIFT! I admit that I like being a Swiftie fan.

LAPD
Hello Everyone!

Hi Ma'am!
As I walk in the station, I begin to greet everyone such as:
The Lieutenants, Sergeants, Officers, and the Chief with a big smile on my face.

Women's Locker Room
In the ladies locker room is where I spend my time getting dressed and preparing myself before starting off my night shift.
At all times wearing the correct uniform is important as that is how you show the representation of the department.

HA HA HA HA

As I walked in the meeting room, I couldn’t help but notice that two male officers were giving me the dead stare and started whispering at one another.
Officer Lee looks at me and says “Are you really serious about wearing pink accessories? No officer should be wearing pink accessories and showing their feminine side.” Officer Lee then laughs and walks away.

I will always stay true to myself!
At that moment, I realized that I was being made fun of for expressing my feminine side, which seemed to be a problem that not many people liked about me.
When I go to work I always manage to wear the correct uniform. As for accessories, I always wear my pink gloves, pink apple watch, and have my nails nicely done as this is my personality trait.
