”Saint Andrew” Secondary School Slobozia,                                       Romania

Appleman, the new exchange student, was walking down wide, recently familiar streets, in that sunny, summer afternoon. He was heading to Applebudy's home. Appleman read the signs: Vitamins Street, Orchard Road and there he stopped, at 47, Happy Carrot street.

Appleman, Applebuddy and Mangy were classmates and friends at Happy Garden primary School. They were all fond of cooking and spending quality time together.

They have been doing that for five months, every weekend since Appleman arrived in Cedar Town.

- What's up, guys? Appleman said while he was fanning a big piece of cardboard right on the kitchen's doorway.

Mangy and Applebuddy were sitting on red Coca Cola cases turned on their ends when Appleman continued:

-It's my turn to cook today. I'm making the most delicious beef burgers, white sauce pasta, French fries coated in cheddar cheese.

-Stop it, Appleman! sais Mangy. It's wrong and totally unhealthy to eat more than twelve hundred ( 1200 ) calories a meal.

We've  already set the table for lunch. There is pumpkin soup, vegetable stew, apple pie and icy fresh juice. Help yourself!

- Can I, at least, try some vegan burgers, with whole-grain bread please? asked Appleman in a soft voice.

-No! No way! Not today! It's Cedar Town, shout Hooray!

    (Year 4, Colegio Ecole, Spain)

Appleman was quite sad and had lunch dreaming of hamburgers and chips. His friends felt sorry for him and decided to visit their teacher Mr Reddy to ask him for advice on what to do. 

Mr Reddy was always ready to help! And he had a brilliant idea: having a cooking party where they could all cook healthy recipes but also beef burgers in whole-grain buns with lots of tomatoes, lettuce, onions and cucumbers in between.

Appleman parti ve burgerler hakkında duyduklarından çok heyecanlanmıştı ve arkadaşları onu mutlu görünce çok sevindiler! Her şeyi hazırlamaya başladılar.

Büyük gün geldiğinde, hepsi Bay Reddy'nin mutfağında bir araya geldiler, eğlenceli müzikler çaldılar ve doğramaya, soymaya, kesmeye, çırpmaya ve kızartmaya başladılar. Birlikte yemek pişirirken mutfağın etrafında dans ettiler ve yüksek sesle şarkı söylediler.

En iyi kısmı, Mangy'nin yanlışlıkla elma burgeri icat etmesiydi: peynir, marul ve domatesle tam aralıklı bir çörek elma dilimleri içinde. Hepsi sadece eğlence olsun diye sunulanlar ve lezzetli olduğuna karar verildi! 

Bu onların en sevdiği yemek oldu! 

Appleman, Applebuddy ve Mangy birlikte harika vakit geçirdiler ve birlikte sundukları her zamanın daha iyi olduğunu öğrendiler. 

Partiden sonra Bay Reddy, tamamen elmalarla ilgili bir kafe açmaya karar verdi ve üç arkadaşını birlikte eğlenceli ve sağlıklı elma yemeği yapmaya davet etti... Bunların arasında ünlü ELMA BURGER de vardı!!
