Hi everyone, 

My name is Montse. I'm 42 years old. I'm the English teacher in Miquel Marti i Pol school. Our school is in Viladecans. It is a town near Barcelona. 

My school is big. There are a lot of classes. My favourite class is the New York class. I'm always there.

We also have a big playground and a big gym with a theatre stage where we can watch theatre plays in English.

Introduction of the school

Our school is called Miquel Martí i Pol, and we are in the 6th grade.

Our school is located in a town called Viladecans. Our school has approximately 475 students. We have 3 floors and two buildings. There is a library, a gym, the teachers’ room, classrooms and more.

The school is 19 years old. Our school is part of the Green School Project which consists of saving energy, reducing pollution, and more.

FIRST FLOOR: The hall, the caretakers' office, the library and the canteen. 

On the first floor, there are many facilities. The first thing you see when you enter is the hall. The hall is very big, bright, and has a lot of windows. There are many doors, and each door leads to a different room. These rooms are the library, the canteen and the caretaker’s office. The hall is connected to every part of the building.

The caretaker’s office is near the entrance of the hall. There is a small room with a copy machine and a lot of papers. This room is controlled by  Maite and Jose and in front of the caretaker’s office, there is the library.

In the library, there are many books and big and small couches. In the library, there is a computer with a lot of names of students and all the books. This room is controlled by Loli.

In the canteen there are a lot of tables and chairs and there are two chefs. In the canteen we eat and there are 2 coordinators, Mercedes and Albert.

FIRST FLOOR: The teachers' room, the music classes, the agora room and the smart classroom. 

On the first floor, there are also two music classrooms. There are a lot of instruments, and one projector. There are chairs, a computer, a blackboard, speakers, and finally the clock.

Next to it you can see the smart classroom. It is on the ground floor and there is  a screen. There are some chairs that can be moved and make different groupings. There are 3d printers. There is a blackboard and a clock.

In the Agora room there are chairs to sit, there is a projector to work , some red sofas to sit on, but there aren’t  tables.

On the first floor there is also a teacher’s classroom,. In the teacher’s room there are a lot of chairs, tables and furniture.Also, there is one projector, a plant, a small yard, a coffee maker, and a refrigerator.

-On the first floor there are four toilets.

THE SECOND FLOOR

On the second floor, there are classrooms for the third, second, and first grades. In the classes there is a blackboard, a digital board,  six tables, a clock, chairs and a tv. Also, there are some cupboards and a carpet where we can sit and read.

On this floor, there is a lost and found place where we put the objects that we don’t know who belong to. Also, on the second floor there is a playground which has a track and a climbing wall, some tables to play table tennis and some tables to sit and play board games. 

In the gym there is a stage and also  a room where the physical education material is placed, the balls.

THIRD FLOOR and THE BUILDING OF THE YOUNGEST STUDENTS.

The psychomotor classroom

On the third floor there are the classes for fourth ,fifth and sixth grade. There is a green space where we have chairs and sofas that are green.There are two bathrooms.and in the two bathrooms there are six toilets.

In the building of the youngest students there are a lot of classrooms, a sensory room, a maths classroom, a psychomotor classroom and more. This building has the best classes such as the sensorial class. In the sensorial classroom, there is a swimming pool of balls and a lot of instruments with music and lights. 

Also, we can see the psychomotor classroom. In this class there are soft mats on the floor, colorful balls, and small climbing structures. There is a balance beam and some cushions for jumping.
