Stable lateral position
When the victim is unconscious but breathing and has a heartbeat, they should be placed in a stable side position. This position prevents the possibility of vomit entering the victim's lungs.
1. Kneel at the casualty's side and make sure both legs are parallel to each other.
2. Place the arm closest to you at a right angle to the casualty's body, with the elbow bent at a right angle, palm facing up.
