The Incident

You could smell barbecue chicken in the air and hear laughter everywhere. I was sitting on the porch enjoying the sweet tune of  birds.  Suddenly, I heard my mom say, ‘Malia! Come inside, I want you to do some shopping for me.’

Reluctantly, I rose from the chair and went inside. She gave me a long list of items to purchase. Some of the items were eggs, chicken, lettuce and cabbage. After getting dressed I was soon off on my bicycle riding peacefully with my headphones on. Stop playing by Lay Lay was jamming through the speaker. 

I was pedaling to the beat of the song when suddenly I heard, Stop! Stop! But I was pedaling too fast and I could not stop immediately. I fell into a ditch. People surrounded me and during the commotion someone called for the ambulance. It seem like someone called my mother because she met us at the hospital, 

After the doctors examined me they said I had a sprained leg. It took four weeks to heal . I learnt to always pay attention to the road and not use earphones while riding.

The Mouse

‘Where are you?’ he said snuggly  I have to find the cover somewhere." I ran as fast as lighting, turned the corner and hid behind some bushes. Hi!  I am  Leanna and I live in Canada. I know you are wondering how this all happened.

 Well here is how it all started. I was a lonely mouse just raiding  people’s house, I was quick as lighting darting to and fro, from one cupboard to another. 

One day it all changed . I was reading in the kitchen when all of a sudden I heard footsteps coming from the living room. I quickly hid behind the toaster. I saw out of the corner of my eye the lady start to wipe the counter. When she moved the toaster she shouted, there is a rodent in my house. She quickly called the exterminator .

I was stuck in fear when the exterminator came. He hunted me. When he came to the kitchen I thought it was over . 'Where are you?' he said in a nicely, mocking way.'I have to find cover somewhere.' I said to myself. I ran as fast as lightning, turned the corner and hid behind some bushes. He followed me but luckily I wasn't caught. When he was gone I made my way to the ferry. I didn't have to pay because I was a mouse (winks). I carefully made my way to a storeroom.  

The storeroom was full of cheese so I had my fill until the boat docked at a port in the Guyana I now live in a posh Henrietta Essequibo and my life couldn't be better. I like this neighborhood and I am just relaxing . 

Bye I am going to get some cheese hmmm.
