The Nile River

The Nile's floods made agriculture possible in Ancient Egypt (Shaw, 2000). Farmers would plant crops in the fertile soil, and the annual floods would bring water and nutrients.

King Tutankhamun's Tomb
King Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter (Carter, 1923). The tomb remained intact because it was hidden away in the Valley of the Kings.

When Carter discovered the tomb, he found thousands of artifacts, including golden jewelry, furniture, and the iconic golden mask.

King Tutankhamun – The Boy King

Why King Tut’s Tomb Stayed Intact

Why Create the Valley of the Kings?
