''Stop that drop, take a sip!''
-Dear waterfall team; look at this slogan in the city. We need to organize for this.
-You are right, but what should happen? There are only 11 people in our team.
-Yes, but we can come together with our eTwinning project partner ''The Water We Want''. Do you agree?
-Of course!
-Of course! - This is our duty!
-Come on, let's brainstorm!
-It will be very difficult to reach water in the future. Fresh water resources are decreasing every day, which puts our lives at risk.
-Water is now in our hands, we must protect it. Protect water today, secure tomorrow.
-Come on guys! Let's embark on an adventure to protect water and live. Now I am sending emails to the ''THE WATER WE WANT'' project partners about our big campaign ''WATER PROTESTERS on duty!'' . My team, please look at the message!!!
Recipients: TO ALL PROJECT PARTNERS
-Dear brothers and sisters, start our fight; emphasize whatever comes to your mind: save water, follow the 3rd rules, put recycling bins, collect garbage, plant trees, walk, ride bikes and save energy etc. Do it in your city. Let's come together. We are excited. We lit the torch. Now it's your turn. Good luck. -I sent it. Let's start our missions.

The adventure began!
We got excited on the bus and after a long journey there was a small village.
When my friends started to feel bad, I noticed a bad smell. There was a lake with a dark green color and oily water floating on the wash. There was garbage everywhere. Plastic bottles, bags, rusty cans, pieces of polystyrene and dangerous broken glass.
There was no living creature there and I am not surprised, because we also have difficulty breathing because of the dirty air.
Without saying anything, he stayed where the lake meets. There was no need for this anymore. It was obvious that the water was melting. Garbage was floating everywhere. The shore was filled with black mud and there was a terrible smell.

We started asking ourselves why no one was doing anything. Why no one was concerned about this situation.
We went back to the village and asked the locals what was happening and why there was so much waste in the lake. Most of them had no answer, they said it had been like this for a long time. This upset us, so we decided to take matters into our own hands and do our part to clean the lake.
We all took a pair of rubber gloves and garbage bags and started encouraging the locals to come and help us with the cleaning.
Some of them completely ignored us, but a few came and helped us. We started by collecting the garbage on the lake shore. At first we didn’t think we were making any progress, but eventually,
When we finished cleaning the shore you could see the difference. Even though there was still waste in the lake we decided to take a break to show people how much litter we were collecting and how big of a problem it was that we were not banned.

The next day, the children eagerly set to work.
They carefully sorted through the colorful plastics, rusty cans, and oddly shaped pieces of glass they had collected. Some were cleaned and set aside for display, while others were grouped for recycling.
Fatih pasted blurry, trash-filled photos of the lake as it had been before on large cardboard sheets next to photos of the cleaned shoreline.
Miraç wrote simple but powerful sentences explaining the damage each type of trash does to nature.
For example, he explained how it can take hundreds of years for a plastic bottle to break down and how fish are harmed by ingesting plastic pieces.
Utku placed the most interesting trash items they had found—a torn teddy bear, a single child's shoe—in a special corner of the exhibit to draw attention. They hung a poster on the village noticeboard to announce the exhibition. The poster read: “Let's Keep Our Lake Clean! Pollution and Solutions Through the Eyes of Children.”
On the day of the exhibition, the children were very excited. They set up a small booth in the village square to showcase their work.
At first, only a few curious villagers approached. The children showed them the before-and-after photos of the lake. Miraç read aloud the informative notes he had written.
"This is incredible," said an old woman, looking at the photos. "Did you really pick up all that garbage?"
"Yes," said Bekir proudly. "But the lake itself still needs cleaning. Will you help us?"
The children's sincerity and effort began to touch people's hearts. A few young people offered to help: "We can join you."
Some mothers said they wanted to bring their children and support the work.

There were now more people protecting water. Finally, everyone understood the importance of water better.
After this incident, everyone did not waste even a drop of water. They repaired the devices that were leaking water and explained the importance of water to those around them. People who realized the importance of water came to help them. In this way, they prevented the waste of water in our world.

“The Water We Want” project team understood the importance of a drop of water in the world with their work and explained this to the people around them.
After this incident, the people of the region understood that a drop of water was very valuable, that it should not be wasted, that water was coming, and they started to protect it unconditionally.
As the project team, we thought the problem was solved after a few adventurous days of informing the local people about conscious and sufficient water consumption,
but we were surprised and saddened when we saw a news report on TV about an environmental problem that was happening very close to us.
We went to that area and saw what was happening. The water there was very dirty. And we had to clean the water. Although we made a lot of effort to clean the water, it seemed impossible to clean the water because its surface was covered with musilage.
We had to find another way. We decided to develop a filter system to clean the water.

However, the water was so dirty that we could not make the filter system ourselves. More people were needed for this.
We started looking for institutions that would support this. We applied to TURMEPA (Clean Sea Association) and universities. The necessary number of people came, but the materials to clean the water were still missing. We decided to raise money to provide the materials. With good planning, we managed to raise the necessary money. Everyone who heard the news sent money for water.
Scientists, TURMEPA officials, local people, in short, everyone came together to clean that water and believed that the result would be good.
The fact that the water was dirty was not only an image problem, but also meant a deterioration in the ecosystem. Therefore, everyone came up with different ideas such as using a filter, using bacteria, to the extent of their knowledge. We decided to try them one by one and…….
CHAPTER 6
Ömer PEKER- Necmettin Erbakan Secondary School
First, we decided to visit nearby factories and meet with factory officials. We told the officials at the factories we visited about the pollution of the water. They said they would be sensitive about using filters and would help us.
Later, as the “The Water We Want” project team, we decided to meet with the professors at the University to get help on cleaning the musilage on the surface of the water with bacteria.
We told the professors at the Environmental Engineering Faculty of the University we went to about the pollution of the mucus layer on the surface of the water.
They said that they were very sensitive about water pollution and that they would be happy to help us. When we left the University, we were very happy that the work we would do would help clean the water.
