B Monster and the Bicycle Race

It was a bright and breezy Saturday morning in Malibu. The Roberts family kitchen buzzed with the smell of blueberry pancakes. Barbie, Skipper, Stacie, and Chelsea sat at the table chatting excitedly. Today was the Malibu Beach Boardwalk Bicycle Bash — a friendly but competitive bicycle race that ran along the beach path.

“Remember,” Stacie said, pointing her fork like a coach, “the winner gets a giant gold bell for their bike!”

Chelsea’s eyes widened. “A big bell? That’s the best prize ever!”

Just then, a cheerful, bouncing sound came from outside.

BOING, BOING, BOING!

Barbie peeked out the window — and there, hopping up the driveway, was their very unusual friend.

“B Monster!” Barbie called, running to greet him.

B Monster bounded forward. “Barbie! Blissful morning, buddies! I bring… bagels!” He opened a small basket to reveal warm, buttered bagels.

“Thanks, B Monster!” Barbie laughed. “We were just talking about the big bike race today.”

“Bike race?” B Monster’s eyes lit up. “Brilliant! Bicycles are my best beloved!”

At the Boardwalk

Soon, everyone was at the starting line. Stacie had her sporty blue mountain bike, Skipper had a sleek silver one with a phone mount for music, Chelsea had a small pink bike with rainbow tassels, and Barbie had her classic teal cruiser.

B Monster rolled up with… well… something.

“What is that?” Skipper asked, raising an eyebrow.

It was a bicycle, sort of — two bright balloon tires, a basket stuffed with bananas, and a bell that made a “boing” sound instead of “ding.”

“My brilliant bicycle build!” B Monster announced proudly. “B is for bike, banana, and… bounce!”
