It was a sunny Saturday morning in Malibu, and Barbie Roberts was arranging paints, brushes, and easels in the backyard. She had decided to host an “Extraordinary Experiences Day” for her sisters and friends.

“Everything we do today,” Barbie explained with a grin, “will start with the letter E!”

Skipper, holding her tablet, smirked. “Excellent idea, Barbie. But who’s our special guest?”

That’s when a cheerful, bouncy voice called out from the driveway.

“Eeeeee-hello, everyone!”

Standing there was E Monster — the bright blue letter E with pink hair and the biggest smile in the world. She waved both mitten hands enthusiastically.

Chelsea gasped. “You’re shaped like a letter!”

“And everything I do starts with E!” E Monster replied. “Eating, exploring, exercising, even… entertaining!”

Barbie laughed. “Perfect! You’re exactly who we need for our theme day.”

The Start of the Adventure

The group gathered around the picnic table, brainstorming E-activities.

Stacie suggested, “Let’s try exercising first!”

E Monster stretched her arms and legs — or rather, her top and bottom lines — and began leading everyone in energetic jumping jacks.

Then Skipper had them experiment with building a small volcano model in the sandbox, mixing vinegar and baking soda for an exciting eruption.
