W Monster and the Whale

It was a warm Wednesday morning in Willows, and Barbie Roberts was enjoying a walk through the park. She had her sketchbook in hand, ready to draw inspiration from the world around her. The birds were warbling, the wind was whispering through the trees, and—
“Woo-hoo!”
Barbie looked up to see a cheerful, bright blue creature bounding toward her. He was shaped exactly like the letter “W,” with big friendly eyes, sneakers on his little legs, and a magenta tuft of hair. His name was W Monster, and he had a rather unusual habit: everything he did started with the letter W.
“Good morning, W Monster!” Barbie laughed as he skidded to a stop in front of her.
“Wonderful Wednesday, Barbie!” he said. “Guess what I’m doing today?”
“Let me guess… it starts with W?”
“Windsurfing!” he grinned. “And I was wondering if you wanted to watch… or join!”
Barbie loved new adventures, so she agreed. But first, they decided to gather the rest of the Roberts family. Soon, Skipper, Stacie, and Chelsea were ready, along with Barbie’s parents, George and Margaret. Ken Carson also tagged along, carrying snacks.
W Monster’s Waterfront Surprise
The group walked down to Willow Bay, where W Monster revealed his plan: he wanted to practice windsurfing and whale-watching at the same time.
“A whale?” Chelsea’s eyes widened.
“Yes!” W Monster said. “I heard from my walrus friend that a wandering whale named Walter is visiting the bay today.”
Skipper, ever the tech-savvy one, pulled out her waterproof drone. “I can help spot him from above.”
Stacie stretched her arms. “I’ll race you to the dock!”
Ken laughed. “I think Stacie’s going to win that one.”
