I am benny. I live inside of Bubble Town where each cell has a task to complete.

In bubble town we all grow together and learn new things and how life works for us cells. In some cases when the cell gets big enough it will divide in half.

I woke up one day feeling my bubble getting so tight it feels like I am going to explode!

You're not going to pop silly you are just growing

Oh gosh, am I about to pop?!

All cells go trhough a cell cycle which is when we grow and make a copy of our insides and spilt into two cells it is a part of life that we go through.

My first Phase is the G1 phase. I will make sweet sugar smoothies and eat on protein pancakes until I am strong enough for the next phase.

I am now in S phase also known as copy time. I am strong enough to copy all of my DNA so my twin could have them too!

It feels like making a twin inside my belly!

Before dividing in half, remember that you have to have a copy of everything inside you! Ms.Cycle stood proudly as she double checked with me.

Let's double-check…nucleus? Check! Chromosomes? Check!

When a cell becomes 2 identical twins, it's called mitosis.

Now it is time for the big show!

Chromosomes will appear looking like colorful sprinkles, and they twirl.

Everyone, let's make a single file line

My pairs of chromosomes stood shoulder to shoulder like soldiers waiting for their next command.

Now you will see spindles stretching my chromosomes apart to each end.

Gosh it's tight! like we are being stretched; it feels like a rubber band stretching.

Now I have 2 rooms inside of me for each cell. The nuclei will appear back in the middle.

We are almost ready to split!

Benny has divided into 2 separate cells, also known as cytokinesis celebration!

It feels like we got sliced in half

My twin will now be able to live his own life in bubble city and divide it in half.
