My family

The people in my family are my mom(Becky), my dad(Lance), my sister(Hannah), my brother(Layne), me(Haleigh), and my cats(Kriskross and Stormy).

My sister is 23, my brother is 15, and I'm 13.

A family is people who love each  other and who share life together.

Family forms

I'm in a blended family, and an extended family. I'm in a blended family because my older sister has a different father. I'm in a extended family because I have aunts and uncles and grandparents.

The family life cycle my family is in is the launching stage because the oldest child has moved out of the house.

Family function: Socialization

My family demonstrates the family function of socialization because our parents taught us how to have manners and how to speak to people.

My family demonstrates recreation by doing fun things, like vacations.

My family demonstrates adaptation because we are able to adapt when things change. When my sister moved out we all adapted to the new patterns without her.

My family is able to demonstrate basic needs because my parents buy food and clothing for us and we have a house to live in.

My parents have jobs which helps to show economic support.

My family is able to demonstrate education because my parents make us go to school and they teach us the importance of school in our lives.

My parents had me, my brother, and my sister.

My family demonstrates religious education because my parents take us to church on Sunday and Wednesday. They also help us to understand our beliefs.

My parents protect us because they lock the door at night and when we leave the house. When we go places they stay close by.

My family shows love and affection because we all love each other.

How my family bonds

My family bonds by going on vacations every year together, and we get coffee and watch shows together sometimes.

Family traditions

Three family traditions my family does are: every year we get Christmas pajamas, we also drive around looking at Christmas lights in our neighborhood while drinking Starbucks hot cocoa. We also have a birthday tradition where the person whose birthday it is, gets to choose where we go to dinner for their birthday.

Roles I play in my family

The roles I play in my family are I do the dishes and I feed the cats. I am also a great sister and wonderful daughter.

How my family is healthy

My family is healthy because we are a strong family. We problem solve, we have quality time, and we have respnsibilities.

When my family does traditions

My family does traditions around Christmas time, we wear our Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve and on Christmas. We look at Christmas lights a week or two before Christmas. We watch Christmas movies a couple days before Christmas.

Conclusion

In conclusion, my family is a good family because we do fun traditions every year and we show up for each other.
