Grizz eagerly checked into the hotel. He was excited for his vacation in Beachy Bay. He was looking forward to warm weather and sunny beaches. He was also hoping he could learn something new.
When Grizz got to his room, the first thing he did was go to the window and smell the fresh sea air.
"What a great beach!" he exclaimed.
Then he got dressed in his swim shorts, grabbed a towel, and went outside to enjoy the beach.
Grizz knew what he wanted to do first. He loved to swim. He had learned when he was little and practiced every day until he could streak through the water like a fish.

"Hmm...", thought Grizz, "I need help!" He thought about the children he'd seen before. "I wonder if those kids would teach me..."
Grizz approached the children cautiously. After all, he was a big bear. He didn't want to frighten them.
"Excuse me...", he began, "I don't mean to alarm you, but..."
The kids looked up from their sandcastle in amazement. Their eyes widened as they saw who was speaking to them.
"Oh, no," thought Grizz. "Please don't scream," he said, "I just wanted to ask..."
