The children of Maple Town were almost finished with their task.  

"Let's hurry and gather this maple syrup so we can get ready for the festival", said Zachary.

"We sure collected a lot this year!" exclaimed Allen.

Chloe looked at the bottle in her hands. "These look like the BEST bottles of maple syrup ever!" she declared.  

Everyone agreed as they packed up the bottles and left for home.  They did not realize that they'd left one behind. 

When they got to town, the children placed the bottles of syrup at everyone's doorstep. Then they went to the park to decorate for the festival.  

Meanwhile, Grizz was awakened from his sleep by the sound of chattering children.  He also smelled something sweet and wondered what it could be.  

Grizz followed his nose to his front door.  When he opened it up, he was surprised to see a bottle full of golden brown liquid.  

"This looks like honey," thought Grizz, "but it looks a little different."  

Grizz decided to taste the syrup.  

"YUM!" he exclaimed.

He knew he had to have more of this delicious syrup, so he followed his nose to the town.

When Grizz got to town, he was amazed at all of the bottles of syrup just sitting outside of the houses.

"Wow!" thought Grizz as he collected all of the bottles, "All for ME!"

He quickly took his treasures home.

Grizz decided to eat more syrup.

"Just a little more for now," he said as he poured a LOT more into his mouth.  

Grizz became quite sticky with syrup and thought he should take a bath to wash it off.

First, Grizz turned on the water for his bath, then he put in lots of bubbly soap.

Finally, Grizz washed the sticky syrup off of his paws and mouth as he relaxed in the tub.
