The sun peeked through the curtains of Sophia’s kitchen, spilling a warm golden light over the flour-dusted counters. Today was not just any ordinary day—it was experiment day. And the one who declared it so was none other than Foxy, the plush orange fox with his oversized lab coat covered in colorful stitched patches, pockets bulging with vials, spoons, and curious gadgets.
“Today, my dear friends,” Foxy announced, adjusting his tiny spectacles, “we shall finally perfect the Singing Soufflé! A dessert that not only tastes heavenly but also… sings!”
Buchiusa, the spotted bunny gelatiere, twitched his ears skeptically. “Sings? Are you sure, Foxy? Last time, the chocolate ice cream tried to escape the freezer.”
Mintusa, his green twin, frowned in thought. “I… kind of liked that. It was very dramatic.”
“Very dramatic is one word for it,” Foxy muttered, furiously scribbling in his notebook. “But today—today will be flawless! Now, Buchiusa, you measure the cream exactly. Mintusa, you monitor the temperature. Precision is everything!”
The twins scurried into action, whisking, stirring, and carefully pouring, while Foxy hopped from counter to counter, adjusting levers on his invention: a small, whimsical machine covered in buttons and spinning gears. The air hummed with the scent of sugar and a hint of electricity.
Meanwhile, Shirousa and Kurousa peeked in from the doorway, their paws holding a tray of warm, fluffy pastries. “We’ll surely succeed,” they chorused, grinning at Sophia.
Sophia, her apron dusted with flour, smiled at the bunnies bustling around her. “I just hope nothing explodes this time…” she murmured.
As the last ingredient went into the Singing Soufflé, Foxy pressed a big red button. Sparks flew, lights blinked, and… nothing.
“Hmm,” Foxy muttered, tilting his head. “Perhaps a little more whimsy juice…”
Before he could add it, the soufflé suddenly wiggled, twitched, and then burst into song. The kitchen filled with a soft, melodic “doo-doo-doo,” the soufflé bouncing gently like a tiny musical cloud.
“Oh! It’s working!” Foxy squealed, eyes wide with excitement.
Buchiusa clapped his paws together. “It really does sing!”
Mintusa laughed, bouncing on his toes. “It’s… adorable!”
But the celebration was cut short when the soufflé suddenly rolled off the counter, singing loudly as it bounced toward the floor. Mintusa lunged to stop it, but the soufflé leapt like a spring, landing right in Shirousa’s paws.
Shirousa gasped. “We’ll surely succeed!” she repeated—though his wide eyes said otherwise.
Kurousa, with a sigh, carefully caught the soufflé with his paw. “Maybe… next time, we make it a little less… lively.”
Foxy scratched his head, then brightened. “Aha! A minor glitch. But fear not—every great experiment has a few… surprises!”
At that moment, Buchiusa’s ears twitched. “Hey, Foxy, do you think your Whimsy Detector could help us find the missing cupcake from yesterday? It… went missing during the frosting test.”
Foxy’s eyes sparkled. “A case for Detective Foxy! Mintusa, grab the gadget bag!”
