Story by Joseph (Joe Super)

The morning sun peeked through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the bedroom. Joseph sat up in bed, stretching his arms. His bright red hair, which naturally defied gravity and pointed upward, caught the sunlight, making it look almost like a little flame. He rubbed his green eyes and smiled. Joseph felt a happy hum in his chest. He wasn't sure why, but he knew today was going to be a good day.
He hopped out of bed and got dressed in his favorite outfit, the one that felt just right: his soft black and gray striped shirt, his comfortable black pants, and his sturdy blue shoes. Joseph liked things to be familiar and comfortable. He
hummed a little tune, thinking about his favorite letter of the day—the letter "J," of course.
Suddenly, a ball of fluff bounded into the room. It was Millie, the male puppy with light brown fur and a cream-colored belly. He held up his paw—the special one with the blue pawprint—and gave a playful bark.
"Good morning, Millie," Joseph said gently, patting the puppy's head.
Millie wagged his tail so hard his whole body wiggled. "Bark! One, two, three! Three barks for a good morning!" Millie
seemed to say. Millie nudged Joseph toward the door. "We should take a long walk in the forest, Joseph! It’s a perfect day for counting trees!"
"Okay, Millie," Joseph agreed. "A walk sounds nice."
As soon as Joseph and Millie stepped out the front door, the house behind them exploded into organized chaos. It was time to get to work.
Inside the house, the JoeToons Characters sprang into action. They had been hiding in the living room, waiting for the coast to be clear.
"Alright, everyone!" shouted Bert, adjusting his backwards bright blue cap. "Joseph and Millie are gone! Operation Best Party Ever is a go!"
"My, my, we have so much to do!" said Mew, the lilac kitten plush. She adjusted the pink plaid bow on her head and checked her white paws. "It must be sparkly and sweet!"
In the kitchen, the air was already filling with the scent of sugar. The Sugarbunnies were in charge of the baking, assisted by the Blue’s Clues family.
"Flour, please!" chirped Shirousa, the white pastry chef bunny. "Coming right up!" said Mr. Salt, shaking a little white snow into the bowl while Mrs. Pepper added a dash of spice. Kurousa, the brown bunny, was mixing the batter with a rhythm that matched the ticking of Tickety Tock. "This chocolate cake has to be perfect," Kurousa said.
Meanwhile, Steve and Joe (from Blue's Clues) were helping The Giggles set up the entertainment area. "I think we need some inventions to hang the streamers," Gordon said, pulling a gadget from his mini toolkit. "I bet I can hang them faster!" shouted Athon, the red-headed drummer, jumping up and down. "Let's just make sure we do it carefully," added
Harold, adjusting his orange glasses.
Over by the decorations table, Tylor was in his element. With his spiky red hair radiating like a starburst, he was painting a massive banner. "I need more red paint! It's Joseph's favorite color!" Tylor said enthusiastically. "I'll help!" said Nene, the pink kitten. She began singing a happy working song, her tail swaying as she handed Tylor a brush. "Just watch out for moths," Sarah teased, flipping her long yellow hair. "We don't want you running away before the party starts." "Very funny, Sarah," Tylor laughed, though he did glance around nervously just in case.
While the house was buzzing with activity, Joseph and Millie were enjoying the peace of the forest. The leaves rustled gently, a sound Joseph loved. He stopped to look at a signpost.
"L-E-F-T," Joseph spelled out loud, tracing the letters in the air. "Left." Millie barked happily. "I see one, two, three, four birds!"
They arrived at a beautiful clearing where a wooden bench shaped like a giant butterfly sat. "Joseph, sit there!" Millie gestured with a woof. Joseph sat on the butterfly bench, crossing his legs. He looked calm and confident, his green
eyes watching a real butterfly flutter past. Click! Millie used his paws to snap a photo with his camera. "Perfect!"
"Where to next?" Joseph asked, standing up and brushing off his black pants. Millie pointed toward the tracks. "The train!"
They boarded the small forest train. Joseph loved the train. He loved the chugga-chugga sound and the way the wheels clicked against the track. It was a "Fun Place," exactly the kind of place Joseph liked. As the train wound its way toward the playground, Joseph leaned his head back and smiled.
Back at the house, things were coming together. Kai-Lan was organizing the balloons with her grandfather, YeYe. "Ni hao! We need more red balloons!" she called out. Tall and Small were working on the ceiling decorations. Tall reached up easily to hang lights with his cloud-like hair brushing the ceiling, while Small used his spout to pop out confetti poppers for later.
The Ninja Kitties were using their superpowers to finish the hard-to-reach spots. "Super Leaper!" shouted Zumi, jumping to the top of the bookshelf to place a stuffed cat toy (since Joseph loved cats). "I've got the view from up here!" called
Sora, flying near the chandelier with her butterfly wings.
In the kitchen, the cake was done. It was magnificent. It was a rich chocolate cake covered in smooth blue and white frosting. Right in the center, standing tall, was a single red striped candle. "It smells delicious," said Peko, the kitten, licking his lips. "I hope there's pepperoni pizza too?" "Don't worry," said Blue, barking a reassurance. "There is plenty of pepperoni pizza. Only pepperoni. Just how Joseph likes it."
The sun began to dip lower in the sky. On the train ride back from the playground, Joseph’s energy began to fade. The day had been fun, but loud and bright. He rubbed his eyes.
