We aim to contribute to the active participation of young people in democratic life (acoording to the Treaty of Lisbon 10.3) and to their role as active responsible European citizens. The project, lasting from March to June, is about teaching the importance of democracy, fostering pupils to take responsibility on their social and democratic participation actively. Pupils will study in cooperation with their peers accross Europe in order to recognize different democratic practices, to learn their rights and tasks as a responsible citizen.

Objectives: We aim to:
- Inform our pupils about democratic values, leadership skills, and their rights and tasks as a citizen
- Improve their self awareness, decision making and cooperative skills
- improve the usage of English.
- teach and use different web2 tools
- able to give simple description of their schools, families and cities/countries
- write simple sentences in the forums to establish links of friendship
- to work in cooperation and be active in their learning process.
- gain confidence in using English in communication
- gain knowledge and awareness about other European schools and countries.
Expected Results We expect from our students:
- to be aware of democratic values, the important of democratic participation
- to learn their rights and tasks in the society as an active citizen
- to be more confident in using English as a foreign language,
- to gain motivation to learn and more creative - to be aware of other cities/ countries, cultures - to develope students' curiosity and enthusiasm for democratic practices, symbols and values and to learn how to work with "colleagues" from other schools.
In addition, all the material and the information may be collected and documented using different options: twinspace, CD, creating a poster, logo, videos, photos, small brochure, an e-book, a blog, a facebook project group account, etc. We are going to communicate on twinspace and share experience during video conference. Each partner school should be involved in project activities, sharing them on twinspace.
