Josiah, Joshua, Anika and Lana were happy! 

Today they were going to spend the whole day with Granny Chris at her house. 

We are going have so much fun said Anika!

Josiah, Joshua, Anika and Lana walked up the hill to get to Granny Chris.

Are we there yet, said Lana?

Hi Granny Chis! they all said. 

Granny Chris had an old house with a big yard.

There was a mango tree, coconut tree, guava tree, plum tree and a tall swinging pole.

Granny Chris went to the kitchen.

"I need help to make lunch," she said.

But the children ran to play on the swinging pole and climbed the trees.

"We want to play!" shouted Joshua.

Granny Chris picked up a pot.

She dips some water from the bucket

                                        She cut up hard food alone.

                 The children just played and played.

"Ouch!" said Granny Chris. She dropped a big pot.

"My back hurts. This pot is too heavy," she said.

But the children did not hear. They were too busy playing.

Lana saw Granny Chris sit down. She looked sad and tired.

"Granny looks sad," Lana said to herself.

"Maybe I can help," she thought

Lana ran to Granny Chris.

"Can I help you?" asked Lana.

"Yes, dear. Can you get me that big pot?" said Grandma.

Lana picked up the pot. "Here!" she said.

"Thank you, Lana. You are a big help!" said Granny Chris.

Lana felt good inside. She helped more.

 She got a spoon, chicken and seasonings.

Josiah saw Lana helping. "That looks fun," he said.

"Can I help too?" Josiah asked Granny Chris.

"Yes! Can you wash these hard food?" she said.

Josiah took the hard foods to wash them.
