Hello boys and Girls, my name is Miss Dinah Dinosaur

 and I want to be a traveling reporter.  My friends back at the swamp think I am silly but I would like to travel around  and see the country.  I went to dinosaur school and learned how to read and write. Now I think I am ready to go traveling.  Can you guess how I am going to travel?

I have made friends with the engineer of a train. I have convinced him that I am harmless and I will behave. He says that I can ride on a flat car near the back of his train.

I think that is very nice of him. Don't you?  Here is a picture of his train.  This is me on the train. It will be interesting to see peoples faces as I go by. I hope they won't be too scared.  This is my hat. I thought it would make me look nice and will keep the sun off when it is hot. 

First I want to tell you about my friends back in the Everglades of Florida where I came from.  My best friend Miss Eliza Diplodocus.  I am Dina Barosaurus.

we both like eating plants and greens. By the way green vegetables are good for you. Here is a picture of us.  Yummy good.

Another friend is  Horace Stegosaurus.  He is a plant eater but he looks scary. He has plates on his back and a spiked tail. Really he isn't too dangerous. He is rather old and grumpy but  his roar is worse than his bite. Here is a picture of him.  He thinks I am silly because I want to be a reporter.

My old friend Herman triceratops.  He is getting very,very old and is tired of the heavy armor on his head.

     He thinks I should go ahead and have an adventure on the train.  I am happy because he encourages me to do something that I want to. He has done lots of things in his long, long, life.  Do you think I should do it?   

Oh, OH, I see some one coming that I do not want to see.

    It is  Ivan the terrible tyrannosaurus Rex. He will get you  if you don't run and hide! 

Here is Ivan the terrible tryannosauras  Rex.  He thinks he is king of the universe with his awful sharp teeth. Some day he is going to find out that he is in terrible trouble but in the mean time I do not want to be near him. I think I will take that train and leave here.

Ah ha I got you. A tasty morsel indeed.

On the train and glad to be going. I wonder where we are going first. I  hope the engineer will tell where we are going.
